L'Via L'Viaquez Lyrics - Mars Volta

Review The Song (29)

L’ Via
Hija de Miranda
Tu Apellido se cambió
L’ Via
Sin Ojos me quieres dar
Una historia sin mi madre
Solo tengo que decirte
El dolor de noche dice
Solo se quedo el vestido
Le lave la sangre

L’ Via
No dejes de descansar
En la calle caminas
Quien te va a perseguir
L’ Via
Te quieren matar
Dientes de Machete
Cabezas de gallo

L’ Via
Durmiendo en paz
Abre los ojos
Todo cambiará
L’ Via
Soñado de venganza
Y yo te lo juro
Lo van a pagar
Blackmailed, she fell off every mountain
The ones they tightly wrapped in tape
In her eraser sang the guilty
As it made the best mistakes
And with every body that I find
And with every claymore that they mine
I won’t forget who I’m looking for
Oh mother help me I’m looking for

L ‘ Via
Hija de Miranda
Tu apellido se cambió
L’ Via
Sin ojos me quieres dar
Una historia sin mi madre
Solo tengo que decirte
El dolor de noche dice
Solo se quedo el vestido
Le lave la sangre

Blackmailed, she fell off every mountain
The ones they tightly wrapped in tape
In her eraser sang the guilty
As it made the best mistakes
And with every body that I find
And with every claymore that they mine
I won’t forget who I’m looking for
Oh mother help me I’m looking for
Solo tengo
Una hora
Y me duermo
Terminado
Por veinte y cinco
Años pasaron
Siguen los cuerpos
Aqui temblando
Tome la sangre
Comi el cuerpo
Mis lagrimas
Quiebra el espejo

When all the worms come
Crawlin out of your head
Telling you
Don’t you be afraid
When all the worms come
Crawlin out of your head
Telling you
Don’t you be afraid

Blackmailed she fell off every mountain
The ones they tightly wrapped in tape
In her eraser sang the guilty
As it made the best mistakes
Shark kites got tangled in the moleskin
Urgent plea of escape
A mouth to mouth on the chalkboard
Written in fingernail distaste
And with every body that I find
And with every claymore that they mine
I won’t forget who I’m looking for
Oh mother help me I’m looking for

Blackmailed she fell off every mountain
The ones they tightly wrapped in tape
In her eraser sang the guilty
As it made the best mistakes
And with every body that I find
And with every claymore that they mine
I won’t forget who I’m looking for
Oh mother help me I’m looking for

Answer to your question | Reviewer: Josh | 12/17/11

To the guy who wants to know why so many Americans comment this song hmmm maybe because The Mars Volta is from El Paso Texas (that's in the U.S)

Also John Frusciante ionly plays with them occasionally if your a fan of at the drive in and the mars Volta you can tell the difference between Cedric and Johns playing styles

solid.. lumang style ng kastila yung gamit ng mars volta para dito.. been listening to the song since it first came out. sad that it shot up to fame after guitar hero.. sana magsult pa ulet ang mars volta ng mga solid na kanta...

Actually, the entire album is a concept that tells the story of an orphan through a diary that Jeremy Ward, the audio artist for TMV, found in the back of a car he was repo-ing. Like, "Un historia sin mi madre" means "A history without my mother" in Spanish, so it could be telling of the orphan who wrote the diary.

The Mars Volta | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/22/10

Cedric and Omar were both in At the Drive in, so it definitely makes sense that some of their themes from At the Drive-In songs would carry over into The Mars Volta lyrics. Just because it's part of a story line doesn't mean it can't also be about violence in Juarez. I think Zeta's comment is interesting an makes a good point.

@Zeta9966: This is most definitely NOT an At The Drive-In song. I don't see what your comment has to do with anything. Yes, the song is about a prostitute, she ties in with the story of the album (I don't know how because I haven't listened to the whole thing yet).

Why all the americans comment? | Reviewer: Axel | 3/8/10

Yes, that´s my question. Why all the americans comment this song? Es la unica cancion que conozco que hablan en castellano y que a los americanos les gusta. Bueno, en fin, this song rocks, but it´s so looooooong. Dura 12:27! De todas formas me hace pensar en Crazy Things like a man killing people in his car XDDD

@Anonymous: It's not Santana, it's John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their bassist, Flea, also plays trumpet on The Widow and Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore.

great song | Reviewer: tongo | 2/10/10

one of their best songs... his grammar in spanish sucks though (i'm hispanic and live in a spanish speaking country, if anyone thinks i'm wrong)
10/10 musically speaking + the english part of the song

I can get the mean | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/21/10

I'm Hispanic Too, the part when he sings in spanish is very complicated to understand... I understand that, because is the style of Cederic to do lyrics, and I can decipher a little bit of the song, but are really complicated

Amazing Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/1/10

Just like many of you guys, I got introduced to this band through Guitar Hero WT. The song rocks! First, I thought it was in another language like italian or something like that; but after hearing it well I recognized it was in spanish (I speak spanish fluently) The lyrics are freaking awesome, they make you think about their meaning. I also love how they combined rock with jazz and latin music. When I heard the guitar solo, I thought it was Santana playing. Overall, this is one of the best songs in ghwt.

The meaning | Reviewer: Zeta9966 | 12/3/09

Upon reading this, I think it's actually about just one of many prostitutes that have been killed in the ongoing Juarez slayings. It's about him refusing to rest until he brings these sickos to justice (death or whatever). If you look back into At The Drive In, you will find that they are very passionate about this subject.

I love it, but... | Reviewer: Araceli | 9/2/09

when i hear this song (i'm hispanic girl, my english isn't good.. haha) i've tried to understand.. but, i can't.. i mean, i understand than the song is about a girl Elvia, but.. the part when he sings in spanish is totally wrong, i mean, has a BIG inconsistency between oration and oration.. whatever, i love TMV.. :)

Yes awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/26/09

I got introduced to these guys by ghwt too! But it came to my attention that they were a good band when i one day decided to listen them on last.fm. Now im going to one of their concerts here in L.A. lol. its pretty fucking awesome their lyrics and music i like percussion the most mostly because i;m a percussion player too. i sound like a poser dont i.

Mistaken Identity | Reviewer: John Howard | 5/7/09

Ok so heres the stitch, i like this band which originated in my home town. one of their songs, called oh mother, has almost the exact same lyrics as this song. The lyrics that are the same are as follows, She fell off every mountain, the ones tightly wrapped in tape, she makes the best mistakes, and the oh mother bit. Whats going on here, please tell me whats wrong here. I cant sleep at night, the cold sweats and the phobia of food is getting on my nerves, please some one tell me, why are the lyrics the same,

Im close to the edge.

........I might jump.

wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/2/09
