Kathy's Song Lyrics - Simon and Garfunkel
Review The Song (5)
I hear the drizzle of the rain
Like a memory it falls
Soft and warm continuing
Tapping on my roof and walls.
And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To England where my heart lies.
My mind's distracted and diffused
My thoughts are many miles away
They lie with you when you're asleep
And kiss you when you start your day.
And a song I was writing is left undone
I don't know why I spend my time
Writing songs I can't believe
With words that tear and strain to rhyme.
And so you see I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
And as I watch the drops of rain
Weave their weary paths and die
I know that I am like the rain
There but for the grace of you go I.

My review | Reviewer: Joe Bloggs | 2/8/14
I must tell the truth in this review. To begin off with it is not my type and I am only listening to it because of school. Wait please don't go anywhere I have not finished yet. If you do like this song you are very spirited. Especially if you understand it. If you do understand this song you have an amazing talent. If any of this writing offends anyone out there I am truly sorry as that is not why I am writing this review. If you are a fan of Tom and Jerry be proud of it and don't let anyone make you feel bad about it. Maybe you could form a club to spread out your true feelings about these deep meaningful songs. Just a quick question, have listened to the "Sound of Silence" if you have this is what I think. It ate up and spat out what I thought was a sad meaningful song.
Soulful | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/3/13
What can I say about this masterpiece of a song, both lyrics and melody bring tears to my eyes and remind me of an awesome friend I once knew who used to sing it tome when we were out driving.
Thank you for the music.....
Still the Best | Reviewer: Ralph Indigo. | 4/10/13
After all these years, I still think this is one of Paul's best songs. And it blows me away that way back then he sang about his doubts as a song writer, at the beginning of a long, prosperous, and prolific career as one of America's best song writers.
Why do y'all Indians love this music? | Reviewer: Satwant Kaur Mehta | 10/17/12
When y'all got yer own country music and folk music like Pankaj Udas ghazals...Bollywood Blockbuster musical music...this is a serious question and real objection. Why, really? Love to you, anyway. And hoping you find your road home and don't wander, nor give up, nor settle without your full integrity. Ok, little brother? Satwant Kaur Mehta, Nature-Endorsed PhD Biochemistry.
Excellent Song | Reviewer: John Avinash Rae | 6/18/11
I started to listen to serious when I was say, 13 or 14. I am fortunate to be blessed listening to Simon & garfunkle since then. They are a Breed apart. Their music is pure poetry with deep meaning. I only wish they had come to India.
By the way, my favourite bands: Eagles, Simon & Garfunkle, BEE GEES, LED ZEPPLIN, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Some songs of Uriah Heep, REO Speed Wagon,Smokie. A lot of songs of Deep Purple, ACDC, Iron Maiden,Aerosmith Etc. My favourite of all the bands mentioned will still be THE EAGLES.
