Karma Police Lyrics
Performed by RadioheadReview The Song (55)
Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge
He's like a detuned radio
Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is
Making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party
This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us
Karma police
I've given all I can
It's not enough
I've given all I can
But we're still on the payroll
This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with love
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

I love this song and Radiohead are amazing, I'm a HUGE Panic! fan and the cover they did makes me love this song even more, of course it's not as good as the original, but cover songs never are, they're just showing that they love this band as much as we do.
Fuck Panic at the Disco. | Reviewer: Kelly | 7/25/10
I'm all for covers of songs. A lot of the time, they come out great. Person L's cover of "The Seed"? Excellent. Elliott Smith's cover of "Fear the Reaper"? Haunting and beautiful. However, Panic at the Disco's cover of this amazing song is heart breaking. When I heard this, in a goddamn Pacsun, I literally had to leave the store. I'm sorry to all you Panic fans. They have some alright songs, but they, a common pop punk band had no business touching this and should have covered a Britney Spears song.

weed brought out the best in radiohead! | Reviewer: lero | 3/2/10
the first time i got high with what is now one of my best friends, i heard radiohead on his computer. from then on i've had a love affair with both radiohead and muse, and i have to say, weed really brought out the minds potential of this wonderfully great band. all the sounds and synths just make it that much better, and you can easily sit back and let you head fly to the sound of karma police!

I love how there are so many interpretations of Radiohead songs.
For me, the first verse reminds me of how I feel when my anxiety and depression causes depersonalisation. The second verse reminds me of all the frustration I feel towards other people in society, which makes me the type of person I don't like - judging people at a semantic level. The next couple of verses kinda reminds me of how sometimes depression and anxiety makes me feel like I'm fighting a loosing battle. Then, the 'for a minute there...' is like that wave of reality, sense of relief and intense emotions that makes you feel exhausted afterwards, as well as, some kind of hope and reassurance that everything will be fine.

society looks to an above power to make them feel secure, even though the above power is the one that created the panic and the fear. I believe the versus are societys voice complaining about indifference and for someone to take it away. The monetary system which is debt, which cannot ever be repayed off keeps society in a trap which they cannot get out of, ive given all i can but where still on the payroll.
Great! | Reviewer: Jason | 10/20/09
I just like to point out one thing, before i do I'd like to say, This song from RaDio HeaD was awesome. What I'd like to point out is On the track at around 2:59 there's a deep sound, like a string instrument, but in fact it's a really low voice singing "For a minute there I lost my self"
I'm sure someone else has noticed, but i just think its an awesome part of the song.
My two cents | Reviewer: Chump | 10/17/09
I feel compelled to weigh in on this topic. I'm a big Radiohead fan. I am not a fan of Panic at the Disco, but I have heard the cover of this song. What really gets under my skin is when people bitch that a cover is not 'as good' as the original or is done 'wrong'. This is musical expression, not mathematics. Do you think when Radiohead wrote this song that it was bing bang boom, that's the exact sound of this song? Absolutely not. The truth of the matter is that bands cycle through different sounds and the one that they settle on and record in a studio is not the only life of the song. Music is and always has been living and breathing. The PATD cover was surprisingly good in my own opinion and offered a fresh take on a beautiful song.
About the cover of P!ATD | Reviewer: Mike | 3/31/09
I just listened to it, it's good for a cover i have to say it, but he doesn't catch the spirit of the song, the original song focus in a melancholic way, but P!ATD just tried to sing it like their other songs, with a different energy and such a different outcome.
The Best Form of Compliment... | Reviewer: Lani | 3/24/09
Is re-enactment. Of course if you love a band you'll want to do an omage to them. It's great that Panick loves Radiohead, and that they have open new ears to such a great band. No the PATD cover doesn't come to par with the excelence of the origonal, but who could? I say kudos to fellow Radiohead fans and boo to haters! Boo haters :)
