Join Together Lyrics - The Who

Review The Song (4)

When you hear this sound a-comin',
Hear the drummers drumming,
I want you to join together with the band,
We don't move in any 'ticular direction,
And we don't make no collections,
I want you to join together with the band.

Do you really think I care,
What you read or what you wear,
I want you to join together with the band,
There's a million ways to laugh,
And every one's a path,
Come on and join together with the band.

Everybody join together, I want you to join together,
Come on and join together with the band,
We need you to join together, come on and join together,
Come on and join together with the band.

You don't have to play,
You can follow or lead the way,
I want you to join together with the band,
We don't know where we're going,
But the season's right for knowing,
I want you to join together with the band.

It's the singer not the song,
That makes the music move along,
I want you to join together with the band,
This is the biggest band you'll find,
It's as deep as it is wide,
Come on and join together with the band,
Hey hey hey hey hey hey, well everybody come on.

Come on and join, join together with the band,
We need you to join together, everybody come on,
Hey hey hey, join together with the band.

for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of watching, listening to recently released the Who at Kilburn 1977, brace yourself, if you think you like join together the studio version, this live version will blow you away. I have always liked the who but I had no idea how good they were at improvisation, Pete Townsend is amazing. I have a new found respect for the who, but then there was the superbowl, oooooopppps

IT was sad that Pete never got his LIFE HOUSE project in the studio. Most of the songs he had wrote were not released, this is one of them. Some can be found on remastered cd. What a mind and what a band

Should be on an album! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/6/07

It's shame they haven't put this on any album. They had enough material to release a proper studio album in 1972. Join Together, Relay, Let's See Action, Pure and Easy, Long Live Rock, Naked Eye, Water, I Don't Even Know Myself, Too Much of Anything. If they'd put that on one album it could have been one of their best records ever...

"Join Together" Never Tires | Reviewer: Dean | 10/20/06

One of my all-time favorite songs. Quintessential The Who. Pete Townsend's driving guitar and Roger Daltry laying down "Do you really think I care what you read or what you wear", that part gets me every time.

Dissapointed they did not play this at their opening show in Philadelphia Sept 12th.
