I'm so tired Lyrics - The Beatles

Review The Song (19)

I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink
I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink
I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink
No,no,no.

I'm so tired I don't know what to do
I'm so tired my mind is set on you
I wonder should I call you but I know what you would do

You'd say I'm putting you on
But it's no joke, it's doing me harm
You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain
You know it's three weeks, I'm going insane
You know I'd give you everything I've got
for a little peace of mind

I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset
Although I'm so tired I'll have another cigarette
And curse Sir Walter Raleigh
He was such a stupid git.

You'd say I'm putting you on
But it's no joke, it's doing me harm
You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain
You know it's three weeks, I'm going insane
You know I'd give you everything I've got
for a little peace of mind
I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind
I'd give you everything I've got for a little peace of mind

Ending Mumbling | Reviewer: jumabe | 5/26/11

At the end, it appears to me John is saying "Miss him, miss him, miss him". if you haven't already, please find the movie "Paul is already dead". You might or might not be persuaded he's dead, but will definitely make you think about it.

...supid get | Reviewer: Dan | 1/28/11

Sorry Mitchell, but your wrong about the 'get' part. Get in the Northern England area is slang for bastard. It's an offshoot of beget, or "to make children." You are right about Raleigh. He was a stupid GET!

...was such a stupid "GET" | Reviewer: Mitchell | 12/2/10

The word "get" means "the hook" in advertising (what will GET the consumer to buy). John loved advertising dities and jingles, which is why so many Beatles songs were so short.
What he meant was that Sir Walter Raliegh was a stupid hook to sell tobacco. Since all he could do, cause he couldn't get to sleep - was to smoke another cigarette and curse the the advertising ploy to which he now resorts to (but probably wishes he didn't have to)to relax and get to sleep instead of the anx of his missed love that he can't seem to call to help him cause she'll think he's joking.

'Those freaks were right when they said you were dead' | Reviewer: Paul Winston McStarrison | 10/24/10

John Lennon confirmed that it was a hoax with his song 'How Do You Sleep', that featured the line 'Those freaks were right when they said you were dead'.

Also, when I hear the mumbling backwards, I hear 'Paul is Beckham. Kiss him, kiss him, KISS HIM'.

Just to Clarify... | Reviewer: Tea | 4/21/10

just in case there's a misunderstanding, I do not believe by any means that Paul is dead. I do however believe that it is totally possible that they (The Beatles) conjured up the entire thing for kicks - I'm not claiming they did, it's just a possibility.

But all in all, Paul is Paul. Not Billy Shears or whomever he's alleged to be.

Just my opinion... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/19/10

The song is great first and foremost. That put aside, I think all of you silly people that feed into the "Paul is dead" thing are foolish. Have you not thought for even a second that maybe (if the Beatles really did take the trouble of putting backwards words into their songs which they probably did) did it for entertainment value to watch all you people talk amongst yourselves about conjectures of hidden messages and Paul being a fake Paul? Or what about as a way to hype their already avid fans and just make it all seem more interesting than it is at face value? I believe people are too gullible. Don't believe everything you hear that is for sure. I suppose all of you that actually think Paul is dead and has been replaced believe Elvis is alive and Santa is real huh? Lets step back from the wonder, magic, and mysteriousness of it all that is the Beatles and just be reasonable and level headed for one second.

Paul is not dead. The backwords lyrics were a joke. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/9/10

It's been clairified by John himself I believe that the "Paul is a dead man. Miss him. Miss him. Miss him." Was recorded and placed backwards at the end of the song on purpose. They believed hoaxes like Paul being dead and being replaced by a lookalike were hilarious so they played off that sort of talk in their songs.

Same with I Am The Walrus, there are a few lines in that song that clearly have no meaning. John did it because I believe the school he used to attend had a teacher that assigned his students to analyze The Beatles lyrics to figure out the meaning. He just used random words to sing about absolutely nothing on some lines of that song as a joke, so nobody could find a meaning to the lyrics.

Lindsey? | Reviewer: Tea | 2/5/10

First off, I do think all the information you provided is very interesting (if not terribly creepy) - but I however do not believe that Paul is dead.

I don't however think it's beyond imagination for there to actually be hidden messages in these songs, but with no real meaning.

The Beatles were a pretty jovial group, and there is a chance that they formulated the entire theory for their own entertainment.

Also, some people believe that Paul was replaced and the reason no one said anything was because the Beatles and their respective family members were under contract and had to comply with the record company's will to stay silent. However, The Beatles set up their own Apple Records in 1968, and by that point would have been able to tell the press had anything actually happened.

just some more food for though.

AND ALSO -
just gotta love this song!

really? | Reviewer: emily | 1/11/10

First of all, Lindsey, any song reversed will have weird lyrics. It doesn't mean anything. I really doubt the guys were like "OMG--lets put a message about Paul in our lyrics!" They were too talented with "foreward" lyrics and songwritting!
