Bob Dylan I'll Remember You Lyrics

Last updated: 10/29/2013 07:05:18 AM

I'll remember you
When I've forgotten all the rest
You to me were true
You to me were the best
When there is no more
You cut to the core
Quicker than anyone I knew
When I'm all alone
In the great unknown
I'll remember you.

I'll remember you
At the end of the trail
I had so much left to do
I had so little time to fail
There's some people that
You don't forget
Even though you've only seen'm
One time or two
When the roses fade
And I'm in the shade
I'll remember you.

Didn't I, didn't I try to love you ?
Didn't I, didn't I try to care ?
Didn't I sleep, didn't I weep beside you
With the rain blowing in your hair.

I'll remember you
When the wind blows through the piney wood
It was you who came right through
It was you who understood
Though I'd never say
That I done it the way
That you'd have liked me to
In the end
My dear sweet friend
I'll remember you.

I’ll Remember You by Bob Dylan

"I’ll Remember You" by Bob Dylan is a very good song for remembering someone special, and the good times we had. Those whom we loved from yesterday, who live in the memory of our mind. Sometimes, there's healing in remembering the loss of not having them, or it seems painful. Just remember Jesus could heal that pain and help you to enjoy the present, again…."Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" Isaiah 61:3…."In the Presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy." Psalm 16:11

She hid her feelings deep down inside for so long,
She became numb to the memory of where she belonged.
Until she heard this sweet love song
Giving her hope for true love to live again;
Then, like sleeping beauty, she woke up remembering him.

I’ll remember you,
Even when my life on earth is through.
Friends may come, and friends may go, I know,
But 'you were the best" *quote Bob Dylan….'I'll Remember You'.
Sorry, I didn’t pass the test…. I let go.

This is a beautiful love song, not only by the sincerity expressed in the lyrics, but also, because of the sound of his voice, and the music that accompanies it. Even the title,
"I'll Remember You" inspired me to write. Would you like to see goes:
I Remember You
...In the spring or early summer time,
When beautiful flowers are seen, and blue birds sing
I was yours and you were mine.
Orange blossoms perfumed the air
We breathed under new green leaves of trees so bare.
...Now, a peacefulness comes as I see
Moon light glistening over the sea.
Oh, the wondrous creation of a fascination
In God's perfect plan to take care of man.
...Still, I remember you in the snowy winters of icy days
When I looked out over my window pane,
And frost covered the early morning rain;
You left Chicago somewhere without a sound,
As quietly as the fresh white snow falls to the ground;
Laughter and fun ceased as young love came tumblin' down,
Lost in space without a trace in Chicago town.
...Bright lights, new faces and places
Being alone in the blackness of the night,
Made our love take flight,
Part of the price you paid to become who you are,
A shining star. ...Still I will remember you,
When everyone else is gone,
I'll remember how much I felt like I belong,
When I remember you, my true love, true.

This may be just an average song in his long and outstanding catalog, but it would have been considered a masterpiece in any other artist body of work. The melody, the lyrics, the arrangement, the overall of the greatest romantic songs of the last century. As a lyricist he will never be equaled, never...
