Elvis Presley For the Good Times Lyrics

Last updated: 08/16/2013 08:47:55 AM

Don't look so sad, I know it's over
But life goes on and this old world will keep on turning
Let's just be glad we had some time to spend together
There's no need to watch the bridges that we're burning

Lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops blowing soft across the window
And make believe you love me one more time

For the Good times
I'll get along, you'll find another
And I'll be here if you should find you ever need me
Don't say a word about tomorrow or forever
There'll be time enough for sadness when you leave me

Lay your head upon my pillow
Hold your warm and tender body close to mine
Hear the whisper of the raindrops blowing soft across the window
And make believe you love me one more time

For the good times
For the good times

In the end good times dont seem to count for much | Reviewer: Joe Meccariello | 5/10/12

Only Kris Kristoferson could write a such a song and only Elvis could sing it like it really meant something Even Elvis with his sheer volume of work on some things he sounded average however once he felt somthing and it cut him deep he had this phenomonal way of getting the listener or the audience to believe they were in that scenario feeling all the pain the tears and the hurt and the reminiscing and the only they would only way they would snap out of it is when the song finished! Other examples of this would Its impossible The impossible dream (the quest)let it be me and of course Hurt he turned this into a bellow of pain you would hurt right along with him ! Let the goods times roll again and again I say :)
