The Who Eyesight to the Blind Lyrics

Last updated: 02/21/2013 01:48:01 PM

The Hawker:

You talk about your woman,
I wish you could see mine.
You talk about your woman,
I wish you could see mine.
Every time she starts to lovin'
She brings eyesight to the blind.

You know her daddy gave her magic,
I can tell by the way she walks.
Her daddy gave her magic,
I can tell by the way she walks.
Everytime she start to shakin'
The dumb begin to talk.

She's got the power to heal you, never fear!
She's got the power to heal you, never fear!
Just a word from her lips
And the deaf begin to hear.

This is the kind of song that makes you think about how screw'd are the alternative ('90,'00) music, now I am here to expose about the version of the song which is in Clapton's Album 'Crossroads', a 10 minutes masterpiece where the autor experiments with a countless of instruments and give tothe song his composition signature. The Who are really great, I love them, but Clapton is way far superior on instruments issues

Actually this is a cover song- originally by 'Sonny Boy Williamson' - old negro blues song- I don't know who has the copyright, but I do a cover of it too- and so has JHeff Healey *(that I know of- maybe many more!) Mine's on my YouTube page KreischerDan (now remember I was very drunk and literally on the verge of a stroke when I recorded it)

good song done better | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/7/10

The who did a good job on this song for Tommy but i think that Eric Clapton's blues version of the song he did for the movie under the same name truly did the song justice. Now every song in the movie was made better by having other artists preforming them but this is one of them
