your 75th wedding anniversary. Whatever you do,
don't congratulate
yourself too much or berate yourself either - your
choices are half chance,
so are everybody else's.

Enjoy your body, use it every way you can... don't be
afraid of it, or what
other people think of it... it's the greatest instrument
you'll ever own.

Dance... even if you have nowhere to do it but in
your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines they will only make
you feel UGLY.

Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe
you have a trust fund,
maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse; but you never
know when either one might
run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're
40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with
those who supply it.
Advice is a form of nostalgia; dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past
from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly
parts, and
recycling it for more than it's worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen.

Do I have the right song suggesting to shave my head? | Reviewer: Jaclynn | 9/4/13

I was class of 1999 and I remember this song, but i also recall this song mentioning to shave your head at least once in your lifetime. I did it based on that advice, and it was very liberating when I did (Being a young woman)....But I think I may have the incorrect song. Does anyone know of another message song around the late 90s? I recall it being spoken and quite similar to this one. Please help, its been driving me crazy.

i heard this tune driving my wagon on the motorway tonight and it just stuck in my head i have had to look at it when i got home and i can relate with most if the lyrics somewhere along the line , brilliant and it will stick in my mind for a long time

Recently heard it playing on the radio late one night, and was blown away... At age 34, I have done a fair amount of living -- including a year and a half in NY -- so a lot of what it talks about hits close to home. It's impossible to touch on every important aspect of life in something so short, but it does a darn good job trying. And yes, there is some really good advice in there about how to find some peace of mind in this crazy life. Kudos!

I have being looking for the song since 2002 when I first heard it on the radio here in Nigeria, it never crossed my mind to search for it online well, i'm glad i did today (Don't open your mouth and say it took you that long ?? It is class of '97 originally. We had played as class of '99 at graduation. I have known this song for over 10 years now. I have loved it just as long. I am now giving the gift of these words to my oldest daughter as she grows. One song = Complete life lesson.
