To me, I think the singer is talking about how she fell in love with someone, and planned to meet up with them, but didn't show because she feels she isn't worthy for love, althou she regrets not showing up. No orgasm for Nora? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/9/2007 Maybe I have a dirty mind, but hearing those lyrics "I don't know why I didn't come" over and over again suggests she's not getting any satisfaction from the man she is singing about or the relationship. I think the music is stronger than the lyrics personally. It was a monster hit though, so you can't argue with that. As a songwriter myself, I sense abit of wrtiter's block in a couple of verses (the last verse and the first)(more the last) You know, like when you settle with some naff words coz you have a deadline or you just want to finish the damn song otherwise it won't ever get finished. Great melody anyway. Beautiful performer, only weakness for me is some of the rhymes in the verses. You don't have to rhyme!
