You know you need to move on, but you can't help feeling like you'd rather waste time with that person even though you know the relationship doesn't have a future. You're doing just that "wasting time." I think mixing the two is about mixing wanting to be over the person, and knowing you still love them. the light is like the end of the tunnel... it gets easier, you start to live again. And that's all fine and good, but as far as moving on, you won't fall in love with someone as long as you're only looking to fall OUT of love with someone else... ( mixing the two could mean the two colors that stand for jelousy or envy or it could mean mixing two people-and there emotions. If he does mean jelousy "it starts just where the light exsist"- it starts when you fall in love with someone, sometimes you cant help being jelous- and it is indeed a feeling you cannot miss, and "it burns a hole through everyone who feels it" meaning it leaves behind something permanent and something that you can see. but I do see the meaning of this song simply being love, and wanting to be with someone but you cant (Well you're never gonna find it, If you're looking for it, Won't come your way,yeah Well you'll never find it, If your looking for it.) the line -"Should've done something, but I've done it enough. It has so many different meanings that everyone can relate to; jealousy, the death of your lover, lies and true love. I wanted to write on here though because i saw a theme that no one has mentioned. The parts where he says " Should have done something but ive done it enough" or "should have said something but ive said it enough" show his frustration becausee he left the love of his life, not because of death or lies in the relationship, but lack of effort on his lovers part.
