"Real shit" is one of the topics most bands now use in their songwritting. And if you are not just talking about a trend, but actually talking of a continuos topic that appears in almost every song of the band, then there are plenty of those bands too. Every 80's rock and 90's punk rock band ffs! And even other heavy metal band's, such as Machine Head. Don't get me wrong, as band's come, there's nothing better than Metallica, they're one of my favourite bands, but that's a really stupid reason for liking this band and not a million others. And as for they being gods, well, that's kind of an overstretch, they work extremely well as a group, but if you pick them apart not a single one of them is the best at his job, just very very good. This just blew you away. The high point of Metallica's career. I like both old and new, but they'll never do better than this album. They reached a high point and knew it - and they had to go a different direction. I am one of those fans, and I believe Load, Reload and St. Anger aren't true metallica, but do contain some alright songs. Maybe if a different band had of released them it would of been cool.
