Baba O'Riley Lyrics
Artist(Band):The Who
Out here in the fields
I farm for my meals
I get my back into my living.
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven.
yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah
Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland
Sally, take my hand
We'll travel south cross land
Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder.
The exodus is here
The happy ones are near
Let's get together
Before we get much older.
Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland.
Teenage wasteland
Oh, yeah
Teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!

Review about Baba O'Riley
HeD | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/11/2008The Who is up there in the top 5 rock acts of all time with the fab4, led zep, pink floyd... a great crowd to be with. The creativity of this era was amazing and still influences bands to this day. Inspirational deep haunting and melodic all at the same time. If it came out today it would be just as big if not bigger than back then, this music is immortal.
great tune | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/1/2008
I am 28 and like to think of myself as of a music producer. This song is one of the few golden masterpieces, and really belongs up there along with Procol's "A Whiter Shade of Pale", and LedZepp's too many good songs to mention here, and etc...
Now about musical taste - there's no reason to argue over which musical genre is better (house, triphop, RnB, R&B, soft-rock, hard-rock, metal, progressive, etc) - it all comes from subjective reasons. No need to throw stones over which kind of music makes a certain individual tick, or not.
P.S. - pardon my french - not a native speaker :)

Creative Music At It's Finest | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/8/2008
Great song...read that the synth part is based on info Pete gathered on some random fan
....But too all you who say rap and metal are embarassments...obviously don't respect art...and have only heard certain artists....there are plenty of extremely poetic and positive, intelligent mc's and metal bands...please think before you talk y'all
But getting back on track...this is an incredible song....peace to the Who
classic rock forever! | Reviewer: NiK | 6/19/2008
i am only 19 but classic rock is my favorite genre. my friends call me "juxebox" because i know what seems like every song that comes on the radio, and can sing it! by the time i was 6 i knew all the words to stairway to heaven. i was brought up on country and classic rock. my dad is in a classic rock band, so its all ive ever known. my friends make fun of me cuz its not what theyre into, but i will never change who i am for the crap that they call music. im all about guitar riffs and melodies. i appreciate The Who because of their lyrics, and guitar set ups in their songs. my mom laughs at me everytime CSI show comes on tv cuz i freak out and start singing and dancing. music is what i live for!! LONG LIVE CLASSIC ROCK!!
Thanks youngsters! | Reviewer: Sullivan | 5/22/2008
I turned 30 this year, so I can't really be counted as a "youngster" anymore, but it makes me very happy to see that kids in high school and junior high still appreciate The Who and older bands. I was so into new music when I was in high school and college and have sort of set into that mindset that the stuff I listened to then is the only stuff worth listening to. I'm glad to know that the kids now, who are the ones who will be making the new music for generations to come, still respect great bands like The Who and The Rolling Stone, but will still be making their own mark in the music world. Don't judge today's music by what you hear on the radio or see on TV. We're due for another great revolution of popular music. P.S. Guided By Voices is still the greatest band of all time. :)
The Who Greatest Bands | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/10/2008
The Who are one of the greatest bands of all time. This song is about Teenage Wasteland and is a rock anthem. The other rock anthem by The Who is My Generation. This song is amazing with Roger singing it up, John laying down the bassline, Keith drumming up a storm, and of course, Pete Townshend the greatest guitar players of all time being, well... Pete Townshend
the who | Reviewer: dan | 4/4/2008
the who have several great songs. this is by far my favorite! i do listen to some rap and r&b and i like some of it a lot but i have to say that most of it is trash(but so it most rock). most popular music today is make to sell clothing and most of it takes no skills at all to play(besides programming a computer to output recorded sounds in a specific pattern with someone to talk along with it). most rock bands have one person that can sing, one that can play drums, one that can play a bass, and one that can play a guitar(plus somebody that can actually think of lyrics and write music).
what? | Reviewer: anony | 2/6/2008
I also love this music, and I am also about your age (17) but I don't agree with you. A lot of my friends listen this kind of music, but also listen to rock, triphop, trance (.. drum and bass but I don't think you know what that is)
It's your own choice wheter you listen the who or some metal band.
Love this song very much!
