Review about BLACK SABBATH Incredible lead | Reviewer: Tom | 1/1/2005 I know music has come a long way, but if you're old enough to remember; or imaginative enough to transport yourself back in time... back to roughly 1970, you'll realize that there was nothing; no music to compare to this! I'm not gonna analyze or label this song, or the band, or its place in history. I don't wanna talk about the "heavy" riffs, or the "Satanic" overtones, or the "darker" side of rock & roll; it's all been done before. But as a matter of personal opinion... Bill, Geezer, Ozzy and Tony created some of the best music ever recorded. This particular song STILL (I'm 40) can bring a chill over me like few others... The emotion and fear that Ozzy brings in is incredible, yes. And Bill and Geezer are both one-of-a-kind, true. But the main LEAD, played to the end of the song, by a guy missing a couple of fingertips, is just phenominal! Remember, nothing like this existed prior. These guys created, defined, and wrote the book on ALL METAL, most hard-rock, some blues and even a few ballads, to come. And that's my two cents.... Is this review helpful to you?
