Elvis Presley Ain't That Loving You Baby Lyrics

Last updated: 12/10/2010 10:00:00 AM

(words and music by Clyde Otis and Ivory Joe Hunter)
I could ride around the world in an old oxcart
And never let another girl thrill my heart

Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

I could meet a hundred girls and have loads of fun
My huggin' and my kissin' belong to just one

Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

If you gave me nine lives like an alley cat
I'd give 'em all to you and never take one back

Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

I'm putting on my Sunday suit and I’m goin' downtown
But I’ll be kissin' your lips before the sun goes down

Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

Ain't that loving you baby?
Ain't that loving you so?

who says Link Wray doesn't have Rock an Roll Blues in him | Reviewer: chris scovitch | 12/10/10

This is what puzzles me ,apparently the officials who judge what music catagory Link Wray should be are not quallified at all. This guy stands out, making the crossover from western-swing to Rock and Roll Blues. Only ELVIS and Jerry Lee Lewis accomplished this successfully.Usually the country players can't handle Rock an Roll and drift back into their country music because its a lazy-mans music. are you hip ?

True.. It was a Rip Off | Reviewer: KC | 1/14/10

Well I understand what you mean, Elvis did rip it off but this song was a rythm and blues song from the 1950's also known as a jiver. Unfortunately I cannot find who the original singer is but i know the one you are talking about is a different song all together. The song you are talking about from Jimmy Reed is a song also recorded by Link Wray.

Jimmy Reed rip off | Reviewer: Jim LaForte | 8/1/07

I believe the original song came from Jimmy Reed in the early 50's.:
"Ain't that lovin' you baby, Ain't that lovin' you baby..And you don't even know my name.
They may kill me baby, bury me like men do
My body may die, but my spirits gonna rise and crawl home to you"
