Ain't Talkin' Lyrics - Bob Dylan
Review The Song (2)
Ain't talkin', just walkin'
Past the mystic garden and wounded flowers on the vine,
Thinkin' 'bout that girl I left on my mind;
When a pine cone hit me from behind,
Then, a squirrel dropped his nut on my head,
When he was making his bed.
Ain't talkin', just walkin' through
This woeful weary world trying to forget you.
Heart burnin', still yearnin' for a good song to sing
That would bring relief to my body and soul
So no one on earth would ever know
How much I loved her so.
Faith in prayer has power to heal a heart of despair
But I keep looking for her, Mama,
And she's not there.
So what do I do now, I don't know how
sponsored linksTo get away from remembering her pretty face,
And smile, that time doesn’t erase.
Ain’t talkin‘, just walkin’,
I'm worn down by weeping;
At the top of the mountain, snow is steeping.
I'm having trouble sleeping,
If I go back to the city, they'll be peeking
To see if I'm free from the chains of love
That are tormenting me.
Ain’t talkin’, just walkin’ and thinkin’
Well, the whole world is filled with speculation,
To distract you from peaceful contemplation.
The only hope for an artist's sanity,
Is to walk and talk with the Lord who sees
Beyond how it appears to be...
Oh, sweet Jesus deliver me.
They try to crush you and rush you to wealth,
Not caring about what happens to your health.
Calling it ‘show business’ as if that makes it right,
As they shove you through the cold dark night,
And you fight for your time out of mind,
Just to go into a nothing box that doesn't even rhyme;
Then, the Lord reminds you of a bible verse,
That you have faith to believe to receive,
And delivers you from the curse before it gets worse;
...Paths of victory t become so clear
When peace that passes understanding is here
That you're happy to be alive,
To give life another dive.
With faith in the Lord to help me find
The woman He's destined to be mine,
It's just a matter of time….
I don't need another squirrel to drop a nut on my head,
'Cause I've got hope for my future to be better than my past,
It's not too late for God to choose my help mate, at last.
*Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want (means lack) her mate: For my mouth it has commanded, and his spirit, it has gathered them. Two are better than one, for they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again if two lie together, then, they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not easily broken. (the third person is the Lord) Isaiah 34:16, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 ......Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. Proverbs 18:22 ....“It is not good for man to be alone......Genesis

This song is a little too sad for me....may I express what I feel in poetry,
Oh, I got a song in my soul that's bursting to go
Into the atmosphere of sorrow to give hope for a new tomorrow,
It's birthed from silent meditation about what sometimes looks like a forsaken nation;
May the strength of song in this dark night rise above the ocean's rough tide,
May God Almighty be our guide, and bring us to a safe place to hide in contemplation
With intercession for a lost nation...
Oh, let's hold on to the Mercy Seat, washed in Blood, and ly at Jesus's feet.
America, America! Come back to our founding father's way....
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson prayed.
Somehow it's been taken away, today...the right for school children to pray...
I hear the little ones screaming in the stores,
The sweet litte darlings, aren't aware there are angels for protecting them there.
A broken lonely heart cries out in anger and frustration,
Oh, my LORD, heal our nation!
Give our people eyes to see beyond what it appears to be.
Instead of struggling aimlessly, may they be a walkin' and talkin' with THEE
I'm a walkin' not talkin to any one but THEE, and the peace I feel is so real,
Reminds me, I'm just a pilgrim passing through, there's a much better place
To travel to, into the arms of a loving SAVIOUR face to Face.
Oh, come along with me and sing, sing, sing to the King!
Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness,
Just praise the Lord, and He'll straighten out this mess..
P.S. We love you. It's all right if you don't consider this a review. I could sum up my
review of Ain't Talkin' in two words, "It's too sad". I couldn't find a happy ending in
between the lines so I made one up as an example....we need hope for our future,
too many hopeless people, so I put my hope in GOD. I hope others will too. I'm happier that way. How about you? Oh, by the way, someone from here, helped me at Facebook
today. Thankyou very much.

Did you read the introduction, it was for a review of Ain't Talk'n, Desolation Row (from
Cinderella) Reviewed By Chaplain Marilyn was similar and someone accepted it. Could
you e-mail it back to me if you don't want it. Thanks. I'll just save it with my other
poems in a drawer like Emily Dickenson did.
