15 Step Lyrics - Radiohead

Review The Song (41)

How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out then you cut the string

How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?
I won't take my eyes off the ball again
First you reel me out and then you cut the string

You used to be alright
What happened?
Did the cat get your tongue?
Did your string come undone?

One by one
One by one
It comes to us all
It's as soft as your pillow

You used to be alright
What happened
Et cetera, et cetera
Fads for whatever
Fifteen steps
Then a sheer drop

How come I end up where I started?
How can I end up where I went wrong?
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out and you cut the string

Dont be selfish! | Reviewer: Cj George | 12/18/11

Alright, first off, SHUT THE BLOODY HELL UP YOU SELFISH RADIOHEAD FANS! What the hell is wrong with you? Dont you understand that music is supposed to be appreciated by all, not just a select few? Dont get me wrong, twilight is fucking stupid, but if more people are introduced to the beauty of indie rock through it, at least something good has come out of that shit movie. So stop going on about how much you hate that this song was on twilight and enjoy the music, dammit!

Seriously? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/16/11

Can people not refer to the Twishite films as being anything than dire, melodramatic drivel for over-hormonal teenage girls? Please? If not, at least go do it on some Twilight fan-page where all you folks talk to each other about your passionate desire to have your blood sucked by glittering English pansys. Hell, back in the 80's, you could have payed Boy George £50 for it.

Oh and the song is amazing. Just don't... mutilate it's legacy with Twishite.

I would first like to start of by clarifying that yes i did first hear this song on twilight, and that i really like it but never took the time to find out who wrote it. I started listening to radiohead thanks to a friend and was only pleased to find that they were the ones who created the song that was on twilight. I still agree with most radiohead fans this song should not be put together with twilight (i am i twilight fan) both works are different and should be appreciated separately. Neither one makes the other better or worse it just means they were put in the same work. The song was not created for twilight.

Outstanding | Reviewer: BKSbeat | 11/25/10

I would like to start with a proud fact.I have NEVER read or watched anything affiliated with Twilight. I first heard about Radiohead 2 months ago but it was enough for me to realize that Radiohead is the one of 2-3 bands that actually create, experiment with music and do not give a fuck about the public. Not to mention Thom Yorke's magnificent voice, poetic talent and Jonny's outstanding guitar skills("Telecaster Master" he is :))I am so glad that I have discovered this magnificent band and very thankful for 15 Step and every single song they created....Just wanted to say...

Really? A twilight comment? Really? This song was released 2 years before that goddamn movie, and Twilight is utter crap. I'm annoyed to even see the 2 associated. Seriously, why is every single good band have to be associated with twilight now? Fuck, just enjoy the song and stop associating that movie with it, because it has nothing to do with it. And put any song to any movie, and it almost will certainly fit in one way or another

Im so addicted to this song | Reviewer: Kitkat | 6/6/10

I am absolutely addicted to this song, my mum thinks i have OCD lol. Im always clapping this rhythm around, and I tried to drum it. I love the guitar riff, its amazing. Jonny greenwood is an amazing guitarist. This song is really something. LOve radiohead!!!! COme to NEW ZEALAND!!!!!!!

Ahaha! I love reading the comments on this website. Always arguing. Always trying to be the right one. Firstly, brilliant track. My morning wake-up track. Secondly, it is expected that any real Radiohead fan would try to disassociate the music from plastic popular culture, which Radiohead is most definitely not a part of. When combining this track with such a glittery and superficial 'hot-topic'-esque film we can't help but attempt to return it back to isolation, saving it from becoming popular and not-as-exclusive itself. So, Radiohead fan - stop being selfish. The music's there to be shared. The twilight fan - go forth and die and forget about Radiohead and the one song you know. If you can listen to 'The National Anthem' and appreciate it, you are a real fan. (my opinion) Haha! I'm a fan, what can I say?

such an ass you movie watchers | Reviewer: who care | 3/31/10

the band relase this song almost 2 years before the stupid movie and i can`t understand why we have to talk about, i think is a poor trying to make some easy money puting preatty faces on a screen and then what..i think put this song on the movie was a mistake but not at all coz when the movie finaly comes to end, i go home a little bit less anhappy to pay for shit. well i hope if i visit again the page, have not see coments about a song that you listen from a bad movie and worst being clasificated with paramore kind of music.

by the way.. i love this song is one of mi favorite from radiohead, the first i think is blow out from pablo honey wow that´s rock. radiohead is a never disapointed kind of band nothing more or less.

Radiohead and twilight both kik ass! The song relates to what the storyline is in new moon, which could even have been the reason why radiohead agreed to let them use it. neways i dont really understand why people r getting so caught up in where its being played. And lets make it clear just because somebody has only just got into a radiohead doesnt make them any less of a fan than somebody who has listened to them for years, besides its not a competition! im sure the band r just happy to know that their songs help people. so let appreciate another great song and progression after hail to the theif...cant wait 4 their next album which they r making at the moment =D

wow | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/13/10

did someone really say that twilight was a good movie with good acting and directing? jesus some people really are idiots. twilight has some of the worst, and most wooden acting i've ever seen. and the directing was terrible! one thing i will say is that it had an amazing score and soundtrack. but yeah, if you think the acting in twilight was good you really need help.

on another note, 15 step is one of the best songs on in rainbows. another great track from a great band.

Really? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/1/10

I would just like to know, how could some one have never heard of Radiohead before Twilight? I won't ask if you were living under a rock, because obviously the Twilight phenomenon hit you, but seriously? I have to say I liked the movie, and I was very impressed with the soundtrack. The writing for the movie was really good, and the directing was fantastic. You can hate that it's a Hot Topic box office hit all you want, but you have to appreciate a good movie, with good acting for what it is.

I found this song from twilight aswell, pure love it! Also love paramore and muse cuz of it too- am real paramore nd muse fans now, but I'm not saying I'm a radiohead fan, jus satin I love tha song! And anyway, wat diffrence does it make to radiohead were they get their fans from, their getin more fans nd that's al that matters, so stop moanin! They obv put tha song on twilight either cuz... 1) they love twilight and wanted to b a part of it or...2) they wanted to gain more fans! Lighten up ppl! Twilight rocks nd so does this song- end of. :)

I hate twilight on premise. But the appearance of this song in the movie has done nothing to hinder my appreciation of the song.
Radiohead has always been about the fans and public, their music has always been accessible and open, so it's not surprising that their songs would end up in any movie which asked for them, and since Stephanie Meyers admires them so much, it's hardly surprising that they wanted radiohead to appear on the movie soundtrack

Lets face it guys, twilight has a sick soundtrack.
if you don't believe me, just go google the track listing for twilight OST.

You people who get so pissy because of every aspect of what they think is 'their' culture being tainted by association with something they vehemently despise (i.e. twilight) need to man up and quit complaining.
you hate twilight, we get it.
