Helicopters & Planes Lyrics - Josh Kumra
Would’ve been nice to have had some kind of warning
something to prepare me for DARK days like this
would’ve been in the church early every Sunday morning
now I just can’t get off my kneeS
Still MUSIC is gone the colors fading
winter came to steal and bankrupt every single TREE
didn’t realize it was always there until was taken
guess that’s THE trouble bout me
Chorus:
I close my eyes HOPE I GET carried away
lift UP my hands praying that someone will take me
some things BEEN up with me lately
keep dreaming bout, keep dreaming bout
helicopters and PLANES
I spend my nights looking right up AT the sky
I’m KEEP MY LIGHTS ON so when they come THEY see me
something’s been up with me lately
keep dreaming bout dreaming bout
helicopters and PLANES
Weight of nationS on my shoulders
keeping my feet on the ground
in the cold what’s slowly getting colder
this room feels like a lost and found
shadows grow and PAINT me pictureS
introduce me TO a brand new kind of HURT..
I know I should have never trusted any WISDOM
YOU promised ME a brand new HEART
[Chorus:]
Live life for the moment
my life ain’t promise in the morning
I’ve been TRYING I FEEL hopeless
BUT THE PAIN goes deeper than the ocean
I looked to the sky for a potion
That could wash away the pain of a soldier
so I prayed but I can’t stay sober
and I can’t blame no one
but my heart beats no love
and I can’t sleep sometimes
every time I dream about the sunshine
I wake up same place stop just case enough
go!
[Chorus:]
something to prepare me for DARK days like this
would’ve been in the church early every Sunday morning
now I just can’t get off my kneeS
Still MUSIC is gone the colors fading

The name Josh Kumra may not be known by all but chances are most will be familiar with the 21 year old's exquisitely soulful voice. The tender-aged singer co-wrote and featured on Wretch 32’s #1 smash hit single ‘Don’t Go’ last summer.
Off the back of this dual conquest of the pop charts, Josh signed his own solo deal with RCA, toured extensively (picking up an impressive number of early door fans along the way) and has delivered a stunning set of songs for his debut album scheduled for release in September 2012.
First up though is the magnificent debut single ‘Helicopters & Planes’ with U.S.G member K Koke guesting (Roc Nation/RCA).
Produced by the man of the moment Naughty Boy, it sees Josh deliver a slice of distinctly UK hip hop soul that sounds like a beat-peppered Ray Lamontagne or Gnarls Barkley in an introspective mood and slightly paranoid.
Josh kicks off the single campaign with a live residency at The Social in London across three weeks: May 22, May 29 and June 5.
With the release of this, his debut solo single, headline shows & festival slots to come, Josh Kumra is set to stamp his mark well and truly all over 2012. more info visiting http: //www.femalefirst.co.uk/music/popmusic/single/Josh+Kumra-240135.html
